Customer4th Fotofestival – Mannheim Ludwigshafen Heidelberg
ProjectVisual Communication Concept
DetailsWith its 8 exhibition sites, 56 international artists, 1,100 works of art, 140 events and over 37,000 visitors; the Fotofestival Mannheim, Ludwigshafen, Heidelberg has developed into one of Europe’s largest photo festivals.

Since 2007, Raum Mannheim has created a communication strategy and a visual identity for the festival including: development of a logo, color concept, office design, flyer, brochures, printed programs, invitations, advertisements, poster series, museum guidance system, promotional materials, banners, website and actions that attract attention throughout the area. Examples of these attention-getters are the installation of the festival emblem in a four-meter high sculpture in front of the main train station in Mannheim or marking the festival locations with an especially designed barrier tape. The color concept calls for the festival colors to be changed every two years. This coupled with diverse image motifs provides each festival with an unmistakable look.

Fotofestival 2011 was the fourth in the series and had the theme – ”The Eye is a Lonely Hunter: Images of Humankind“.
